So we did something about it
We're two mates — one Indian, one who wishes he was. Between us, we've got decades of daal obsession and strong opinions about tarka. And we got properly fed up watching people queue for £5 meal deals when daal exists.
In India, daal is the lunch. It's what millions of people eat every single day — because it's cheap, packed with protein, and genuinely delicious. There's a reason it's been a staple for thousands of years (the Ayurvedic lot were onto something).
So we thought: why isn't this an option here? Why is a limp supermarket sandwich the default?
That's Daalguys. Proper lunch, sorted.
